When can I check in and check out?
Check-in timings from Monday to Saturday : 15:00
Sunday arrival time : 17:00
Sunday departure : 13:00
Rest of the days checkout will be at 10:00

Check-in is from 15:00. If you arrive after 18:00 and security gate is closed, please check-in at main security gate.

Please check out at Reception. Once you have settled your account, you’ll receive a gate exit permit to leave the Resort. Guests without possession of an exit permit will not be allowed to leave the resort.
How many people do the chalets occupy?
All Chalets accommodate four adults with the exception of the Small Plettenberg Chalets, which accommodate two adults and two children under 12. Chalets accommodating two adults only: Josmont Heights – 201; 203; 205; 207; 209 and 210. If additional guests are found in Chalets, you will be asked to hire an additional Chalet or alternatively leave the resort. We thank you for your co-operation and understanding in this regard.
Are guests allowed to visit?
Outside visitors are allowed to visit registered guests at a nominal day fee, between 08h00 and 18h00.
What TV channels do you offer?
We offer a range of TV channels in all Plettenberg chalets, including SABC TV 1, 2, 3 and M-Net, Movie Magic 1 and 2, Supersport 1,2 and 3, VH1 and KykNet. Josmont Heights, Golden Terraces and Villa Chalets have their own decoders with a selected choice of channels.
Are there activities for children?
Children are specially catered for and we hope that they enjoy the facilities that are available. Unfortunately we don’t have a heated pool for kids.
Are there any babysitters at the resort?
Yes, we’ll babysit while you unwind beside the pool. A babysitting service is available at a nominal fee of R100.00 per hour. Contact Reception before 2pm on the day that you require a babysitter.
Is there parking available?
Each Chalet offers free reserved parking for one vehicle. Additional vehicles can be parked in the parking lot opposite Avalon Springs Hotel at no extra cost. Trailers must be parked in your designated parking bay only.
Are there braai facilities?
If you’re having a big braai (barbeque) that exceeds the capacity of the braai we’ve provided, we do offer large braai drums on wheels, at no extra charge. Simply call Security on 023 614 3051 to have the drum-on-wheels delivered to your chalet.
Is there braai wood and firelighters?
Braai wood and Firelighters are available for purchase at Reception during office hours (8am – 5pm) or from Security, after hours.
What to bring along?
To ensure a comfortable stay, take a look at this list of things you need to know before you arrive: When booking a Small or Large Plettenberg Chalet, you’ll need: 1. Your own bath and swimming towels 2. Your own dishcloths and dishwashing liquid When booking a Golden Terrace or Josmont Heights Chalet, you’ll need: 1. Your own swimming towels – bath towels are provided 2. Dishcloths and dishwashing liquid are provided When booking a Villa, you’ll need: 1. Your own swimming towels – bath towels are provided 2. Dishcloths and dishwashing liquid are provided Great news: Your Villa, will be serviced daily at no extra charge. Be sure to inform reception on arrival if you require this daily service.
Are there any additional costs?
1. Entrance to the heated pool is R15 per person per day, R20 over weekends and all holidays
2. First 1GB free limited WiFi, thereafter additional charges apply
Are there any noise curfews?
• Street lights are automatically turned off at 11pm • Please respect the privacy of other guests at the resort by minimizing noise levels after 11pm. You may report any disturbances to Security on 023 614 3051 • Management reserves the right to admission
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed at the resort.
Is rollerblading and skating allowed?
Rollerblading and skateboarding are not allowed at the resort.
What is the smoking policy?
All Chalets and public areas are non-smoking. Please ensure that all cigarette butts are put in the receptacles provided throughout the resort and not discarded on the grounds.
