Don’t miss this vibrant Saturday market! Stock up on delicious local produce and home-baked treats to take back to the resort. You’ll also find various gorgeous arts and crafts. It is open from 8am – 12.30pm during summer and 8.30am to 12.30pm in winter.
Heritage buildings
Montagu’s long and intriguing history stretches back to 1851, and it is home to more than 14 beautiful historic homes. Find out more about the area and its earliest settlers during a visit to the Montagu Museum and Joubert House. Anyone with an interest in natural medicine will thoroughly enjoy Joubert House – it is the oldest homestead in Montagu and is home to the largest selection of medicinal herbs in the country.
Arts & Crafts Meander
The picturesque village of Montagu is home to more than 10 museums and galleries, where artists’ work is on display and for sale. The Arts & Crafts Meander is a great way to see more of this beautiful little Klein Karoo town and engage with the many artists who have made it their home.

The nearby town of Montagu is home to one of the top-ranking nine-hole golf courses in the Western Cape, attracting keen golfers from near and far. Enjoy a round of golf in the club’s beautiful natural surroundings before heading back to the resort to enjoy the sunset and a relaxing braai.
Hiking
Walk out of your chalet, through our gardens and straight onto the Badskloof Hiking Trail and Lovers Walk. The trails allow you to immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings and you’ll enjoy spectacular views over the valley. Finish off your hike with a refreshing dip in one of our swimming pools.
